The Central Coast Where Ocean Meets Vine

The vast expanse of the Central Coast is matched only by its diverse topography. We don’t like to rush around here. We give our grapes plenty of time to develop their signature cool-climate flavor and bright acidity.

Our Viticulturist Get to Know Us

Just as there’s an ebb and flow to the tides, there’s an ebb and flow in the vineyards. From bud break to harvest, the vines undergo a slow evolution, orchestrated by the fog and wind that roll in from the ocean and the warm California sun. For viticulturist Matt Frank, all roads lead to the Central Coast and our Los Alamos vineyard. Here the grapes are a product of sea-swept vines, anchored almost entirely in coastal sand from the Pacific Ocean. Matt applies his viticultural foundation from UC Davis and his passion for cool-climate fruit to elevate the character and flavor of our SEAGLASS wines.

Los Alamos Our Home Vineyard

The unique qualities of SEAGLASS wines begin at our Los Alamos Vineyard, just 20 miles from the Pacific Ocean in Santa Barbara County. Benefiting from the daily influx of cool ocean breezes and fog that roll through the valleys, this climate creates ideal conditions for growing grapes with bright acidity and fresh flavors. But it’s the sandy soil of Los Alamos that truly sets it apart.

At SEAGLASS, our commitment to sustainability is as deep as our love for the coast. All our wines are 100% certified sustainable, reflecting our dedication to responsible practices in both the vineyard and the winery. Beyond our own practices, we partner with like-minded organizations, such as the Surfrider Foundation, to support the protection and enjoyment of our oceans, waves, and beaches. From the grapes we grow to the wines we craft, we are committed to nurturing the land and the ocean that inspire us, ensuring that future generations can enjoy the simple beauty of the coast just as we do today.
